MCP & system integrations

Connect existing tools
with clear boundaries.

Let an agent query and organize system data or trigger specific business actions within approved access. We check interfaces and permissions before choosing MCP, a plugin or another integration method.

Where it helps

Start with this part of the work.

Staff look up, copy and reconcile the same data across several systems. You want to connect repeated tasks while retaining control of read access, write access and approvals.

For foreign trade and cross-border e-commerce teams in mainland China and Hong Kong. This page describes scope for assessment; the agreed proposal defines the final deliverables.

What do we assess first?

  • The tools to connect, API documentation, a test environment and permitted usage. If an interface is unavailable, feasible scope is assessed first.
  • The fields to read or write, trigger conditions, data owners and people approving actions.
  • Account authorization, data boundaries, network requirements, failure alerts and any requirements to reverse an action.

Redacted examples are enough for an initial conversation. Account access uses an agreed secure authorization method.

Possible deliverables

Make each step reviewable.

Scope each item against the available material, interfaces and business rules, with defined inputs, outputs and reviewers.

01

Query and organize

Retrieve data within approved fields and objects, retaining its source. Supported systems and versions are confirmed after assessment.

02

Controlled actions

Connect defined steps into a workflow, with agreed approval before writes, duplicate request handling and action records.

03

Testing and operating notes

Agree trigger frequency, failure alerts, retries and recovery. External actions that cannot be reversed are identified before implementation.

Before production

Confirm the requirements before the plan.

MCP is a connection method; it does not give every system an available interface. Production depends on interfaces, permissions, network access and a runtime. Account, API quota, model, server and maintenance costs are listed in the proposal. Real-time synchronization and universal compatibility are not assumed.

Pricing, delivery schedule, data location, maintenance ownership and acceptance thresholds are agreed per project. Technical delivery does not guarantee inquiries, sales or revenue.
Acceptance questions

How will we check that it works?

Test with agreed samples and criteria, recording failures and unresolved items. Specific measures are agreed before development.

  1. Can the specified system and version actually be connected, and are unauthorized fields and actions rejected?
  2. How do approval gates, duplicate triggers, timeouts and network failures affect the workflow, and how are duplicate or missing actions handled?
  3. Have sync frequency, alerts, retries and recovery been tested as agreed, and who handles actions that cannot be rolled back?
